Paul Bedortha

Paul Bedortha was born January 29, 1948 to Claire (Coderre) and Lawrence Bedortha. He grew up in Simsbury Connecticut, attending schools in Simsbury and Worcester, Massachusetts before graduating from UConn in 1970. A love of skiing brought Paul to Vermont and he moved to West Wardsboro in 1971 where he opened his first grocery store in 1978. Over the next 45 years Paul owned and operated several more stores, most notably River Bend Farm Market in Townshend. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, working in his yard, hiking, especially with his dog Lola, and was a meticulous carpenter. Paul is survived by his children, Sara (Ben Lowe) and Jeremy (Laura), grandsons Evan & Aden Bernard and Tyler & Keegan Bedortha, and his sister Janet Moran.
