Earl Dionne passed away on Friday April 10th 2026 peacefully at the VA in White River Junction, VT. Born February 5th 1968 to Edward and Ramona DIonne while Earl's father was stationed in Germany. Earl is survived by his wife Peggy DIonne and daughter Nicole Burke. His is also survived by his brother and wife Edward and Carol Dionne, his sister Denise and her husband Eugene Joyal as well as many extended family.
He served in the Navy as a sonar tech on the USS Groton and the USS Lafayette and takes pride in his service and those are some of his fondest memories that he can talk for hours about. He was a part of a submariners base here in Vermont that he found community and many friends who understand his sacrifice. He spent ten years as an ER nurse and he loved the excitement of the ER and helping others. He was always up for a challenge and loved being able to help others. He spent time as a bus driver with Premier which gave him the chance to travel and he made some of his best friends with other drivers.
His last and most fulfilling job was as a Pastor. There he found his true calling and that was spreading God's word and doing God's work. Here he saw his inspiration come to life when he opened Rachel's Kitchen in Windsor VT where he built community and at the same time fed breakfast five days a week. His faith was strong and he took comfort that no matter what he had a place to go when he was done here.
Services will be held on Saturday April 25th at Rachel Harlow United Methodist Church at 165 Main St in Windsor VT at 12 pm. Burial will happen at a later date.
